What is a lash lift?
A lash lift perms your lashes into a lifted, curled state. If your lashes are naturally straight forward, the lift brings them up and curls them, making them appear longer.
What is the process?
The technician will remove any makeup from the eye area. An eye pad will be applied to the lower lash area. A mold size will be selected for your eye shape and lash length. From there, the technician will use a lash glue to apply the lashes to the mold. The perm lotion is applied and will be left on to process from 10-15 minutes. A neutralizing lotion is applied and will remain on for 10 minutes. The next step is to tint the lashes for 10-15 minutes, and tint the brows too if desired. Finally the glue remover will be applied to removed the glue from the lashes. Finally your new curled and tinted lashes are revealed!
How long does it last?
Lash lifts will last between 6-8 weeks, about the same time as the lash growth cycle. Your lashes naturally grow, fall out and grow back so the permed lashes will naturally shed. Each person's lash cycle is different, so that is why the results time frame varies from person to person.
How long does the lash lift service take?
With a tint service, the service takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Can I wear makeup after?
It is best to wait 24 hours after your service to apply mascara. After 24 hours you can wear mascara, but using eye makeup remover everyday can start to fade the lash tint.
What are the benefits?
A lash perm will save you time by not curling your lashes everyday! If you prefer a more natural look typically our clients do not wear mascara since their lashes are tinted. Lash lifts are such a great option for summer, especially before a beach vacation so you don't have to worry about makeup, but can still naturally define your eyes!
The lash lift photos in this post were done by our esthetician, Jessie. During the month of June we are offering a complimentary brow tint with your lash lift service. A brow tint is another time saving service that last about 4-6 weeks.
